We are looking for a Scrum Master to join our smart and hardworking product development team.

Our Scrum Master facilitates daily standups, demos, retros, sizing, sprint reviews, and planning meetings, tracks and reports on velocity, bugs, burndown, and feature progress, and contributes to the bi-weekly status reports for the executive team.  Our Scrum Master is responsible for removing blockers and enabling the team to sprint completion. Along with assisting with internal and external communication, our scrum master is focused on improving transparency, radiating information and supporting the Product Owner on maintaining the product backlog.

To be successful in this role, you must have off-the-charts emotional intelligence, be super collaborative and helpful in your approach even on your worst days, and set a great example for effective communication and coordination in team gatherings.

 

ABOUT YOU

  • You are super personable, professional, flexible, a fan of keeping the drama very, very low, and you tend to talk fast.
  • You are constantly reading and learning about all things agile in order to improve your contribution and to enable your team members to be more effective
  • You navigate JIRA like an expert and you have already made at least one of those big mistakes.
  • You have been a scrum master in the past or you have read and learned all about it and have been waiting for the opportunity to show how great a scrum master you can be.
  • You are a born collaborator, low on ego, and eager to work alongside people who really know their stuff.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in a Scrum Master role for at least two years for a small-to-mid sized software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
  • Awareness and experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games.
  • Scrum Master professional designation or certification.
